Describe a person who has interesting ideas or opinions
You should say:
Who the person is
How you know the person
What the person does
And explain why you think his/her ideas and opinions are interesting
我想講的是一位外國有名導演卡梅隆，我最早看的是他的泰坦尼克，除此以外當然他是很多有名影片的編劇導演作者。
尤其從他的科幻電影，終結者和阿凡達中，我發現他非常有創意，他一直有各種有趣與眾 不同的想法，這些想法非常超前，甚至推動了電影業的技術發展。
I’m going to talk about the award-winning movie director James Cameron.
I first came to knowhim from his most famous movie Titanic.
It was really popular in China at the time. Even though Iwas quite young when I saw the movie, I was deeply moved by the story.
Cameron found major success after directing and writing a wealth of (大量的) science fiction action films and built hisreputation (建立聲譽) in this genre.
He is the writer, director and producer of The Terminator,Aliens and Avatar.
I absolutely love those films because I was amazed every time by the original,peculiar and unique ideas in those films.
Terminator was created quite a few years ago. The moviepresents unique thoughts on the future and interesting ideas of a killer robot from the future.
A lotof the things that were science fiction in Terminator are now actually around us.
The story of Avatar, which I bet (我相信) you know, had been scratching at Cameron’s dream and imagination since he was a child.
He surprised audiences with his very creative idea which was set in the future,on a jungle planet Pandora and a with different race from humans.
This idea had to wait many yearsas the technology didn't even exist to make the film.
Cameron then helped develop cutting edge 3D camera systems, which pushed technological innovation (技術革新) in film making.
I really respect James Cameron for his interesting ideas and creativity.
Even though I will never make movies, I feel there is much to learn from his ideas and how he takes action (采取行動) with ideas right away.
第二篇：歷史建筑
Describe a historical building you have been to
You should say:
What it is used for now
Where it is
What it looks like
What you learned there
And explain how you feel about the historical building
故宮是我在中國見過最宏偉壯觀、歷史底蘊最深邃的歷史建筑之一。故宮位于北京中軸線的中心，是世界上現存規模大的木質結構古建筑之一。
故宮的前部宮殿宏偉壯麗，象征封建政權至高無上。
我在故宮參觀了各類明清代歷史文物，這座建筑讓我更進一步了解中國歷史，讓我對祖國兩千多年連綿不斷的歷 史傳承感到無比自豪。
The Forbidden City is one of the grandest and most culturally influential historical works of architecture that I have ever visited in China.
Situated in the center of Beijing, the Forbidden City is now one of the largest wooden work of architecture(木質結構建筑) across the world.
As asignificant symbol of ancient royal constructions(古老的皇家建筑群) in China,the Forbidden City was among the World Cultural Heritage list and one of the most protected cultural relics in China.
In addition, it is also one of the most popular tourist attractions in the world with over 17 milliontourists in total in 2018.
Meanwhile, the architecture collects a wide array of invaluable cultural relics(文物) once used by Chinese royalty back in the Ming and Qing dynasty.
Preserving and researching these relics, the Forbidden City serves as a crucial part of the protection of Chinesehistorical culture.
Constructions in the Forbidden City are orderly, lined up from north to south and perfectly aligned(完美地對齊分布在) on the left and right side of the central line,making thearchitecture a stunning view to visitors.
Palaces in the front part of the Forbidden City aremagnificent, symbolizing the paramount power(至高權力) of the imperial authority back then,while in contrast, the rear part of the architecture is more compact.
In the museum of the ForbiddenCity, I have seen a variety of Chinese historical relics and further understand the centuries of rich Chinese history that this architecture has long preserved.
Thanks to the Forbidden city, I canclosely review the long Chinese history that makes myself so proud to be Chinese.
