        I’d like to do a car trip across the USA actually. I’ve seen in plenty of films that the country is really geared towards road trips and has a history of bike and car road trips actually. I think I’m attracted to this idea for two main reasons: firstly because I speak quite good English and so I think I would be able to talk to people along the way, ask for directions and help if necessary, and chat to the locals at different places we might stop off at along the way; secondly, because I just love the idea of going on a road trip in a foreign country. Somehow it’s a little more exciting, because you’ve got that sense of newness, of discovery and adventure when you’re abroad. I’d like to go with my best friend, Yaxar, because he’s confident, speaks great English, and he’s also quite tough and strong, so if we got into trouble, I think he’d be able to deal with pretty much any situation.

        Also we share some of the same interests and he’s a good conversationalist. I think he’d make a great travelling companion and he’d be reliable and probably a good navigator too. Also, he can drive so we could take it in turns to drive the car. Id’ choose to go towards the end of the summer when it’s not too hot there but not cold either, so that we could stop off in different places, perhaps go hiking or sightseeing and feel quite comfortable. I think going by car with a friend is much better than going to just one place by plane and then staying there. You get to control the trip more, and decide when you want to rest and see a variety of places along the way, as well as change your plans and route if you feel like it. I like the sense of freedom that I think a road trip would offer.
